Doctoral student at Nagoya University Graduate School of Humanities. He specializes in ancient Mediterranean history, particularly the political, social, and cultural history of Egypt under the early Roman Empire. His research combines the analysis of papyrus and epigraphic sources with archaeological evidence. He has recently adopted Digital Humanities methods, including Bayesian statistical approaches to the reconstruction of lacunae in Greek inscriptions.

In the Humanitext project, I am responsible for (1) the digitization and structuring of the Digesta in the Corpus Juris Civilis, and (2) mapping cross-references among classical sources, primarily those related to history.
